Power Door Locks
Left and right side "U/L" unlock/lock switch would only power lock the doors in my '98 F150. The unlock side of the switch wouldn't work or make any noise. I replaced the left door (driver's side) switch with Ford Part#F65Z14028AB. Both sides now work. The left and right side switch part numbers differ due to the position in the door. They look almost identical. The left side switch is red on bottom.
My hunch is, the switches must be wired in series or some other peculiar manner. Due to the fact if one switch "unlock" fails the other side fails also. Just FYI for anyone searching in the future.

I had that problem before the switches went out completely. I wasn't sure at first if the problem was in the switch or the, electrical actuator moving the lock mechanism. When in doubt throw parts at it I guess.
