throttle cable

Hi, I have a 2003 f250 SD /w a 5.4 gas engine. The throttle pedal seem's to stick when you start off, you really have to mash on it and then it kind of clicks and then takes off, causing the truck to lunge forward. I think it's the throttle cable sticking. I have lubed the pedal it's self, that didn't help. Have any of you had this problem before? How do you lube the cable? Do you lube it from both ends and what kind of lube?

Thanks for reading! Dempsey

Don't lube the cable. If the cable were sticking it would stick at any position. You problem is in the throttle body.
