I do like the front end appearance better than my 15 and like the fact that they listened to us and ditched the farm implement rear fenders on the dually..
One of the concerns I have would not actually impact me but it would my wife - who is all of 5'6"..
The trucks sit 1.5" taller due to the new boxed frame. That will make it tougher for my wife to get in-out of it.. With two brand new knees having been installed last June - she ain't jumping anywhere for a while..
The other is the door handles. They apparently switched away from the sideways (horizontal) latch to one that is vertical. If the truck is taller and now you have to lift the door latch (can't see if it is a button or a lift type), that might make for some strained fingers / broken nails on her..
The only other slight negative I have noticed is that the side windows are shorter and so there is a decrease in side visibility. This was one of the things I really liked about my Super Duty...
Hopefully they'll alter the steps to compensate for the height difference.
As for the door handle, it appears to be the type you pull out towards you(like most vehicles these days).
I'm surprised they didn't change it earlier...the old style were infamously easy to force open with a screw driver for thieves.
Re: Video - Crane Trick with all the trucks being suspended from the Super Duty Frame...
It only proved that the 6-8" of frame between the crane's cable ends and the first and sucessive downlinks were strong.
It would've actually meant something if they were to have the downlinks pulling on the center of that new frame.
The truck does look good and is growing on me... I'd love to see how effective the new lights are on a dark stretch of highway.
The Camera options are to die for... I wish there was an afforable way to retrofit onto my 15..

Ya it sure looked like the points cables attached to, didn't put the complete load on the frame length. But with that type of presentation, hopefully the frame must be something special.
I agree, the camera setup looks to be a great option. I want that.
The looks are really growing on me, but I just can't get past the vertical emblem between the front fender and door. It really ruins the whole look from the side shots I've been looking at.
I've been looking at pics and watching the videos the last few hours when I could. It has definitely grown on me rather quickly. I love the dually fenders and the camera option mostly. I look forward to seeing one in person.
