Trying to program remotes for '08 F250
Hello, just got my truck 08 F250 SC w/5.4L. Didn't come with remotes. Not on the sticker either...so I ordered from EBay after I got it to go into programming mode to lock/unlock. It's an XLT but not much of any other option (Snow prep and Trailer Towing Package).
Went through sequence and it entered programming mode but when I hit the button from the new Ebay remotes, nothing happened.
Any ideas?

I don't think you have the reciever in the truck. I had a a 2003 that was the same. Had power locks, but no keyless entry. I have no idea about newer ones but the 99-07 had different wireing systems between the power locks with RKE and without. You best bet would be aftermarket. If it was me I would add the remote start with the rke.

Maybe you're right. But the truck does go into 'programming mode' ready to accept the signal from a 'new' remote (cycling ignition 8 times in 10 seconds). Are there any techs out there, maybe the dealer has to turn it 'on'? I checked the battery on the remotes (off ebay) and they're strong. They look like OEM remotes. (3 button square type).

Bob, it says 'Less keyless entry'....weird since it still goes into programming mode..is that it? Is there a module I can buy or is it aftermarket?

Early Build
Looked at theVIN breakdown on that site and it's a MY 2007 Build Date. Wonder if the remotes are different.
