Keyless Entry?
I just got a 99 f250, it has power locks but all I got from owner was a single key. How can I find out if it is equipped with keyless entry so I can just get a remote?

My 99 F250 was pretty much bare bones, and it has a remote. According to the window sticker, I have the power equipment group. You can use your VIN to get a copy of your window sticker too. Just use Google.

Turn key on and off quickly, about 8 times, leave on. If it has keyless entry, the door locks will cycle lock/unlock several times.

By the way, you can buy a 3 button remote for under $8 online. You program it yourself - no additional cost. I bought mine off eBay and programmed it today.

Mine did not unlock on their own so looks like I'm gonna resort to aftermarket keyless. :-\

It took me a few tries to get this right - I think I was not doing it fast enough. Don't put your foot on the brake at any time. There are a few more tricks that some vehicles need.

Basically you are putting the truck's computer into a programming mode for a new remote. Read instructions and see a video at this site:
