65mph for 15-20 minutes on level ground, no load, no tow, no hills.... after the truck is at operating temps.

Can you explain this post? I have used the VC9 at least 2, maybe 3 times and still have the original oil cooler.

I'm saying that most every one of these threads about flushing and using chemicals ends in plugged coolers... be ready. You can flush with water and that may even result in suspended particles clogging the cooler, but mostly hearing that is not as big a gamble doing just water flushes.

I'd check the EOT/ECT differences BEFORE chemical flushing, you may not need it.
Nothing personal, but I call BS on this.

Cummins Filtration says not to leave their cleaners in for longer than 3 hours, but you can run them at double the concentration level on the bottle.

I haven't read a VC-9 bottle in a long time, but I recall it being really similar to the Restore+ label. At least the chemical is supposedly similar, so I wouldn't leave it in much longer than the hour that's in the Ford process:

I ordered the Cummins Restore:

Qty Item Number Description Availability Unit Price Total Price
================================================== ============================

1 V52 CC2610 Restore Coolant System Cleaner Gallon Stocking Item 21.23(ea) 21.23

================================================== ============================
Order Subtotal 21.23

I left water in the cooling system for the past 2 days without draining it. Should I be concerned as I will not be able to do the Restore flush for another week?

I know there is a lot of bad press about the VC-9. How about some good testimonials?

How long can I live the distilled water in my system before I add the coolant? I ordered the Restore and Restore Plus and it will not arrive until this week.

I have taken at least a week to complete my flush. I think you are okay as long as there is not any tap water mixed in.
