Need an AC expert please.

Hey guys, the ac clutch went out on my 94 crew cab today. I went to go pull one off of one of my other trucks to get her going because this is my dd, and they were all different (all the others were the same, but different from this one,) So I ran up to the parts store. They asked me if it was factory or dealer installed, and of course I had no clue. All three parts places I went to had the common one foe around 85 bucks, (the one I had three extra of) but the "dealer installed" one was special order at all three places. I ordered the one I need, which of course is more than twice the cost of the in stock one, at 180 bucks, then I went home and took a closer look, and the compressors look exactly the same, and the harness plug looks exactly the same. My question is, can I put the cheaper in stock one on this compressor, or do I need to wait for the special order one? I was able to thread the bolt holding the plate to the shaft of the compressor back in and turn it by hand and it turned freely, plus it was working fine when the clutch went out, so I think the compressor is O.K.

If it fits... I don't see why not. The only function of the clutch is to provide a 12V clutch between the pulley and the compressor shaft. As long as you can make it work(clutch wires to the ac control wires, the stationary parts stay stationary, and the rotating parts rotate correctly and drive the AC compressor), it should work fine.
