Supposedly a 20 minute job according to the mechanic that changed mine out.

IIRC 1 8 mm bolt. The hard part is getting it out of the block.

I did mine with in a hr, I removed the locking bolt from below and pulled/replaced the sensor from above. You have to remove the air filter and unplug the sensor before hand.

Thanks gonna tackle this next couple days. Picked one up yesterday. Tech from dealership gave me some advise, similar to what you guys are saying. Thanks again.

Keep the old one afterwards. While it may be giving you occasional hard starts, at least you know it works. These new ones tend to have a random success rate.

ok Got this done last night. Air filter assembly comes off you can reach down and get your hand barely in behind power steering pump and disconnect the wire clip. Then from under the truck you have to have a light cause you cannot see the sensor and bolt. There is just enough room to get a 1/4" drive ratchet with long 6" extension 8mm socket some how in there between radiator hose and everything else. I was only able to get it loose then had to go from above and remove the bolt. you cannot see anything. Then somehow removed the sensor oiled the orings on new sensor and somehow got it in from above hand tightened the bolt and from under tightened it with the ratchet. Cleared codes drove it around got her hot and shut it off started back up no problems several times. No cam shaft code. Was a pain to get too but not difficult. Sorry no pictures.

Ohhhhh, I see! Just another superfluous post with a buncha words but no pics to prove anything actually happened!!

Glad you got her done. Feels good not paying a ton of cash to the dealership to do something you were able to figure out with the help of others, aint it?

I know it always gives me warm fuzzies!

Stewart there was absolutely no way to take a picture. You could not see the stupid thing unless you held a flashlight and pointed up there. only one hand fit to get the ratchet in there. Maybe on a lift it would have been easier but doubt it. You still had to remove the bolt from above and the sensor. It did feel good not paying the extra loot for that!!
