Question Cam Position Sensor Removal

I have my 4.0 pushrod engine ('94 Explorer) stripped down to the casting for a overhaul, but I can't get the camshaft out. It seems to be hanging on the sycro gear for the cam position sensor, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the sensor gear out. Any tips??? It will rotate freely, but it won't budge out.

You need to remove the entire camshaft position sensor shaft. It comes out just like a distributor. One bolt removed, and pull the sensor shaft. That's why the cam won't come out.
