UPDATE*** I talked to ford guy at my trade school's auto department, his first question was on timing, and how I timed it, apparently I wasn't lining up the punch mark on the balancer right, there's a hole (which was what I was lining the punch mark up with) then there's a part that comes to almost a point. That's what I was supposed to be lining it up with, not the hole... It's still not firing up though... It sounds more like a misfire now, I'm going to check my fuel pressure and some other things with my fuel delivery, not ruling out a spark or timing issue all together quite yet, but at least now I'm on more of path to figuring it out hopefully lol
To clarify or avoid confusion for others who may read this in the future - there are "two" possible top dead centers (TDC) ; one on the compression stroke, and one between the exhaust and intake strokes. For timing purposes we want the former, not the latter. Common error.
Correct, mine is on the compression stroke... Could it just be too much fuel like someone else said? I've verified I'm getting fuel, I've verified I'm getting spark, and the timing has to be right... I don't know what else it could be at this point....
Could be I guess. Pull a plug and check for excess fuel. Fuel soaked plugs can go "dead" too, fwiw. I doubt that's the problem though something to consider.
Start from square one. Maybe a compression test, ensure firing order is correct.

I did a compression test already, compression's not great, around 100 in all the cylinders except one, that one is around 70-75. That's good enough to run it though ain't it? Firing order is correct for a non ho pre 1995 302.
