I have a 1966 f350 with a 390 . I contacted summit racing and they show none for a f350. There was a comment on the headers I wanted that stated will not work because of the different steering box . Any pointers would be greatly appreciated
It's a front engine mount and a straight I-beam front axle , and what make of headers are they ? My steering shaft pretty much goes through the floor not the flat fire wall too. I've never seen a 4x4 f250 so I'll take your word on it . I believe it uses a gremmer steering box , I'd like to add power steering but that will be later on .

I believe it uses a Gemmer steering box. I'd like to add power steering but that will be later on .
1961/64 F100/350; 1965 F100/250 4WD; 1965/66 F350; 1966 F250 4WD: The steering shaft goes directly into the steering gearbox.
Once the A/T (2WD only) or 3 M/T shift linkage (if so equipped) is disconnected from the column, the pitman arm is disconnected from the steering gearbox, the column and gearbox are removed as a one piece assembly.
Steering gearbox is the same: 1963/65 F100/250 4WD; 1965/66 F350; 1966 F250 4WD
F350's prior to 1967: No P/S can be swapped in from any other year Ford truck, so you'll have to buy an expensive aftermarket P/S kit.
btw: In 1941, Packard erected a new building on the north side of their assembly plant to assemble Rolls Royce-Merlin V12 aircraft engines, initially for the Brits.
After the war ended, Gemmer purchased this building. When Gemmer moved elsewhere, the plant stood empty until it was purchased recently by a Detroit firm that stages special events.
Number dummy i understand , on sale day they became 390's , the only thing ive seen to make me say 390 is the tag thats on the distributer hold down bolt has 390 ford on it . and Candoo , i see yours are stainless and the number you gave me are painted . really appreciate the help . its hot here in tn and im not in a hurry to finish the job till the heat breaks
They were painted, I had them ceramic coated. They are hedman 89120's painted black for shipping purposes only. I just recenty posted a vid of the truck with motor in it, check it out.
Candoo , I see what you mean about fighting the battle , it took me a while to get the drivers side in place ! But they fit and that's all that matter ! Thank candoo I really appreciate the help .
