Blower/AC prob, to many search results
Hey guys ive searched and read and become even more confused. Having blower and AC probs w my 01' F250 7.3.
It started on 4th of july. Blower quit working so i dropped the glove box open, gave the blower a good punch and it came right back on.
Well today i turned the truck on, the blower was blowing and but i had no cold air as if no AC. I left it running and popped the hood, felt the freon lines and they were not cold at all, i sat there in the driveway w the truck idleing for about 8-10 mins trying to figure out why i didnt have cold air.
Well i needed to go to lowes,"to get shut off valves to shut the flow to the heater core off" and as soon as i backed out and started driving, the AC began blowing nice and cold.
Went inside Lowes and got the parts, came back out and started the truck. I had no air movement.
I dropped the glove box, whacked the blower multiple times and got air flow, but it was barely moving air and the fan switch was on high.
They are roto milling the roads here so they are rough, i hit a bumpy area and the blower quit working again. So i just turned everything off so i didnt freeze my AC coil up.
So thats where im at, ive searched and found bad blower motor, bad relay, bad fan switch, loose connections.
I just dont know where to start, its hotter than two rats Fuc*** in a wool sock here, and i have tomorrow and sunday to get it fixed.
I have an electric tester i can use. So where should i start.

You likely have two separate issues, they both just happen to be affecting your climate control.
Intermittent blower - probably worn out brushes in the motor. It's not hard to troubleshoot with a meter. Find the two wire connector and measure between each when the blower won't operate. If you have 12 on one wire and zero on the other (referenced to chassis ground) and the motor isn't turning, replace the motor. Any other readings, ask first.
Intermittent operation of the compressor - usually a worn clutch. A shimectomy usually extends the life of the clutch hub. See HVAC FAQs.
... That's a new one!

Haha, man my 90 yr old grandpa has been using that one for years lol
I ran out of steam and time today to troubleshoot anything, spent most of the day replacing calipers and rotors and bleeding lines.
I will take a look at things tomorrow. I may just replace the resistor and possibly the blower, the cost for both is under 100, and they will probably need it eventually anyway. Im never getting rid of this truck so i may as well.

Problem resolved, replaced blower motor and that fixed it.
I drilled a couple small holes where it was holding water, not sure why there was water there but that also is taken care of now.
While it was all out i noticed that my condensor coil was absolutely packed with funk, i dont even know how air was moving through it as well as it was. So i took the ole garden hose and stuck it up in there, I crimped the hose w one hand and let pressure build up, then let a blast of water rinse the coil. Basically did that over and over, crimpc blast, crimp, blast. I used my cel phone on video record w the light on and stuck it in there to observe the coil until i had it all cleaned off. Then blasted the bottom to clear the drain of sludge.
Did all that as well as installing shut off valves in the heater core lines.
Wooooo buddy is that some colllld air i have now, i was happy with it before all this. But holy crap is it blowing cold now.

Where is this water coming from ? Air-intake ?
Do you have wetness on the passenger side firewall as well ?
Should I remove cowl cover to see if any seal compromised ?
any suggestions appreciated .

It sounds like a little vacuum pump.
its kicking on and off.

You probably had diminished (air) flow through the system. (I hate diminished flow!)
