I apologize if this question has been asked and answered elsewhere. I searched and didn't find exactly what I was looking for.
I've read that once I remove the handle assembly, I need the metal cover panel part # 8C3Z9943121A http://www.ebay.com/itm/391059838929?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT . And the screws.
And that is also known as callout part# 43121 .
My real question is this.... Is this part the same as the older F150 tailgates?
I ask because I can probably find one in a salvage yard for next to nothing.
According to the parts places I've checked, it is the same part number.
If I dont go junk yard, where is the best place to buy new OEM Ford parts now? Last time I bought OEM parts I got them from Tousley Ford. But they appear to be gone now.
I saw a right up on this vary thing on the 6.7 forum. I'm going to get rid of the stripper pole myself. I'll check out my 04 and see if I can swap em. Have an 04 with a stripper pole. LOL
