Hey there dbuck50 and welcome to FTE! I have a couple of questions. Are you sure you have injectors, throttle body? I've checked the Chilton's and it only has removal and replacement. I know there is a port to check for fuel pressure before the injectors or TB, but that won't help you locate the stuck one.
The Chilton also shows only 4 injectors on the V-8 engines.
If there are no other individual ports to connect a fuel pressure gauge up to at each injector, It looks like you'll have to pull them all. I would start with the one you think will give you the most trouble getting out. It's usually the culprit. These things can never be easy!!
The instructions are quite extensive, so it looks like you'll be on top of the engine for quite awhile. Good luck and get back with us on the results. Talk with you later....
Put a fuel pressure gage on it. Start the engine and shut it off. It should hold pressure for a _long_ time. Like overnight, but if the pressure hasn't dropped much in several minutes, you should be OK.
To find which of the eight leaks, you'll have to pull the injectors.
If you had an injector stuck open, would cause one cylinder to run real rich. If you pulled your spark plugs out and inspect them, you will most likely find the one cylinder with the bad injector.
Normal lookin plugs have light gray or tan colored deposits on them. I would imagine the bad one would look wet, fouled. Something to that extent. You will most likely tell right off that it don't look like the others.
There are shops you can send your injectors to and have them checked., Costs something like $25 each. Better than shotgun replacement of the whole set which is what some places like to do.
OK, I tested the fuel pressure with a guage and it registered 31lbs. When I shut the engine off, it took about five minutes for it to lose about 5lbs...so I am assuming that i don't have any injectors stuck open. Make sense?
You most likely have a leak. Time to find it. I would definatly pull the spark plug to see if it is an injector. If it ain't an injector then good luck finding it.
