Ok so I've got an 86 f150 that I picked up a few weeks ago. I've been driving and everything been working fine. Well I stopped by Lowe's and when I got back in the truck and started it I realized I didn't have any electronics. The only things working were the speedo, tach, volts, and the dome light when I spun the ****. I couldn't even get the wipers to run. I check the under dash fuses and they were all good. Any ideas?
If the ignition switch doesn't quite click into Run that can happen. Wiggle the key to see if everything comes back on. If so, it might take lubrication of the mechanism to get it to work properly. Or maybe an adjustment of the switch itself, which resides on the lower part of the steering column.
I am having this problem also, but cant seem to locate where you would adjust the ignition underneath the steering column. Does anyone have a picture or could explain it in detail more? New to the bullnose trucks so I am learning .
Thanks,
Brayden
If you are going to the trouble to get under there and adjust it, I would get a new one. They really never get out of adjustment, but they do wear out.
