I have Firefox on a couple of W7 machines, and one of them is acting up a little.
When I try to login to a library website, it won't go to the login page. It gives me some kind of a failure message about weak security signature or some such nonsense.
But, here's the deal. On my other W7 machine, there's no problem. As far as I can tell the settings are identical. Also, there's no problem if I use Chrome.
I scan weekly, and I tried Malwarebytes (free) today, but nothing.
Anybody ever see something like this. It's just a small issue right now, but it's annoying.
do you have the same antivirus and security settings on the machines?
i know with the desktop that had norton it would do different things than the laptop with AVG free.
It is apparently regular Firefox behavior. With version 39.0 they added a feature to flag a 'weak' security response. The reason is that if you connect to a site like that, you can be vulnerable to something called a logjam.
What makes it odd is that servers sometimes use this type of response when they're busy. That must have been the case with minebecause it seems to be OK now.
