Adobe has, for a while, been fairly aggressive about trying to switch me to auto update and other things.
Well on one of their 'updates', they switched me from Adobe Reader XI to Adobe Reader DC (Document Cloud). I didn't notice it at the time.
This was a 'downgrade' for my purposes. I looked around and found that you had to uninstall DC before you could reinstall XI. Otherwise you got a message stating that you already had a 'superior' product.
I managed to get back to XI -- hopefully I can stay there.
you have to be careful with that too Tom because a lot of older programs get so exploited with loopholes by hackers that it can be very unsafe to run some of the older things.
i have never had a problem yet in 15 years, except for the one time one of the kids used the desktop and it got the DOJ virus.
