Just bought a 2007 V10 4wd with 5 speed. 89000 miles. Changed out tranny fluid by dropping pan - very clean, about 1 teaspoon sludge around magnet - and refilled 8+ quarts Mercon LV and changed filter, 2 weeks later drained fluid and put in 8+ qts Mercon LV. No shift issues of any kind whatsoever.
From a start at say a stoplight, I first take my foot off the brake and she rolls forward, and as I give it the gas I notice a slight catch as I begin to accelerate at under 5 mph. No noise, no clunk, no slipping, barely noticeable catch or hitch, gone in a fraction of a second. It is less noticeable (when it happens at all) if I accelerate very slowly, and I don't have time to notice it if I stomp on the gas.
Since I cannot hear anything, just feel it, I cannot even say for sure that it is coming from the tranny.
Just had the driveshaft balanced with new U-joints.
