I read the post on the switches in the doors. Took all 4 door panels off unplugged all connections at each door going to the little switches. Put key in and chime is ringing away and lights won't go off. What am I missing here? Turn key to on but don't start chime stops but the truck with the four doors open is lit up and stays lit up ( you know the one in dash panel right above speedometer). Here are some hints.
Had to replace speedo from my Canada truck to a mph unit.
Had dash apart to work on radio.
Taped into fuse panel with some add on circuits to run radio accessories.
Had to replace passenger side door handle.
This was not happening before this so I am guessing I did something unaware to me.
Any ideas??
Ok more info. Found out you have to use a jumper wire across plug at door switch to simulate the door being shut. Doing this did not fix door ajar with new mph speedo. Put back in the old kmh speedometer no more chime. Seams something is not compatible. Any ideas. Don't want the kmh speedo.
