Turbo malfunctioning when hot
EOT= Engine oil temp
ECT= Engine coolant temp
MAP= Maniflod absolute pressure
The digital gauge you get should be able to read those items from the OBD II (on-board diagnostics) port on the truck. Those numbers in live time can help diagnose the issues your having.
?While your waiting on the books/DVDs take time to look in the Tech Folder
at the info there. There are a lot of things that most of the Ford stuff does not
cover/approve/include. In some cases they replace a part where we may fix it.
Also if you get the Ford service manuals from Ebay that are the expired date
one (The best IMHO) then your want the little program called Run As Date.
Also there is a way to copied it all to your hard drive and have it run correctly.
If you go that route let me know and I can send you the info on how to edit
the INI file that controls it.

Load was 99.6 just before the truck bogged down and it dropped to 91.6 when the truck started bogging down that the turbo psi dropped.
ECT was 179.6 and went up to 185.
Manifold was 187
Air temp was 100
Barometric psi was 102
Modular volts was 13.67 and dropped to 13.47 when truck bogged down
I checked the turbo and the blades/fan turns easy with very little play in it.
I tried to check everything listed above but I may have missed something.
The truck still runs fine when the engine is cold. Once the engine heats up, it starts bogging down still and throws black smoke out the exhaust at certain rpms.
Any ideas?
Larry
