C6 tranny

I think it's supposed use mercon 4 tranny fluid anybody out there got a definite answer what transmission fluid runs in a c6

It's certainly not MERCON 4 since there never was a fluid called MERCON 4.

A C6 built after the late 70's used MERCON or MERCON V fluid. Before that they used Type F.

That's ok, I was just trying to get a little notice from an admin or someone if they can merge threads. May not be possible, but I thought it was worth a try since there were replies in both.
