So has anyone had problems with their Reversing Aid Module..(radar). Mine quit working and just gives an error message to "Check Reversing Park Aid Module" when I 1st start the engine.. I have checked the 5 amp fuse.. it is good.. Taking it to the dealer is a pain.. but I might have to.. Only has 3500 miles on the clock..
Well.. this looks like a problem that doesn't show very often.. since nobody has responded.. I ended taking the problem to the dealer and they found the "sound device" that beeps when approaching a object in the rear is defective.. new on order..
Please update if you could on whether this fixed your problem. I just got a 2011 and this same error message is the only fault I can find with the truck. Same error message, and no beeps while reversing up to something. A part number/location on that module would be appreciated. I've only had it for five days but sooner or later my wife is going to be driving this CC LB and I'd really like to fix this before then!
Yes, it fixed the problem. Sorry, can't give you P/N. It appeared to be located below the steering column area, but can't tell you exactly where.. I watch the Ford Tech work on it from a distance. The Parts Counter guy could give you the P/N.. It is the "sound device" that caused the lack of the beeping..

Squisher - I troubleshot this on my old '01 F350. Check the sensors first. Make sure that their "windows" are all clean - not full of mud, etc. Look in those "windows" - sometimes they get cracked and there's water inside. Also reach behind the bumper and check that the sensor cables are all hooked up, and their connectors are seated right.
If the sensors all look good, do a check to see if they're alive:
Safety First: Set the Parking Brake, and block the rear wheels so the truck doesn't roll over you.
Turn the key to "On" to activate the electronics, but don't start it. Shift it into "Reverse." Then close the doors so you don't hear the stupid door chime.
Go to back of truck. (Reverse Lights should be on.) From the side of the bumper, lean down so you can get your head near each sensor. As your face (hand, or other body part) goes in front of a (working) sensor, you should be able to hear a faint click as it detects you. The one (or more) that doesn't click is/are defective and need to be replaced. (If none of them click, then they're most likely not getting power and you probably have Clintbonnie's issue)
Thank you for taking the time to post this info up. I'll report back after I get a chance to go through it. I'm confident I'll be able to get it sorted now.
No warranty factory or otherwise on my truck. It was a private sale and has 125,000miles.
Ok I found one sensor that isn't working and now I'm wondering the best place to order a sensor from up here in Canada? The Ford ones seem to be way more than what I see them for on e-bay or Amazon. Is there really any difference? Anyone know of a good Canadian retailer to order from?
