Currently AC is so far out of budget it is more a pipe dream than a possibility. If I get one of the jobs I have applied for that will change, but who knows.
Good Afternoon Everyone.
My 73 Galaxie needs the A/C fixed. The compressor knocks, the idler bearing is gone. Then finding a filter/drier might be a real job in itself. If I can find all the parts I would convert to R134A.
I have a pre-formed heater hose 3/4" that I'm having problems finding. I need to go to Round Mountain & talk with my friend at NAPA & see if we can stare & compare something.
Good luck with the parts hunt. You have your work cut out for you.
Jim
Good Afternoon Everyone.
Yea I'm aware of that Jim. I have a friend that is the manager of a NAPA parts store & he builds 4x4s. He has been in the business 40 years so I'm sure with his help I will be able to find most of what I need. But non of it is high priority. I have plenty of vehicles with working A/C etc.
I was driving our Crown Vic home from a friends store. It had started raining then turned to hail. As I got a few blocks from our RV I saw huge tree limps blowing in the air. (6"-8" in dia 8' long) Then all of a sudden it picked up the Crown Vic & moved it as I was driving into the slow lane. That was a rush. It happen so fast didn't have time to get scared.
Here are some pics of damage.
I have been in winds around 100 mph before, but never had a vehicle picked up & moved. The back drivers window is broken must of been hit with a branch. Because of tint it is still intact. I don't even notice it. My wife got in the car after the weather settled down & she noticed it. The tornado & hail was so loud I could hardly hear anything.
We are just so grateful to of not been hurt & not to of lost anything. Thank God there were only a few minor injuries in all of town. But 4 homes were totally destroyed.
Good morning Nevada. Damn, Craig. I didn't know you guys got tornadoes out there! I'm glad you are okay, that must have freaked you out a little when the car started moving!!
