The jambs/interior will usually be the same color as the hood/cowl upper color.
In most cases, I prefer white or the lighter color for the hood/upper section on the '73-'76 trucks, and the darker color for the sides, just like that red and white truck.
But for '77-'79 with racetrack moldings, I prefer the lighter color to be on the sides inside the racetrack, and the hood/upper areas to be the darker, like that awesome blue and white truck.
(I also like the way that truck's grille is painted only silver...looks fresh.)
Don't know if this is of any value to your question but I had a white interior and was painting the exterior black with a stripe in the racetrack and a GT stripe on the rocker panel. Had done some minor patch work on the doors and had to paint them and create a color cut off line so this is what I did.
