So I feel slightly embarrassed asking this question, but my Ex is the first vehicle with this type of hub on it.
I don't know if I hit a speed bump REALLY hard that caused this (because I did do that) or if one of the punks from the neighborhood stole it, but my front right hub/lug cap and entire autolocking hub is missing.
Question is this: Is it still safe to drive until I am able to replace? I have a road trip coming in two days and don't have time to get one put back on.
Yes it is safe to drive. I had the same situation but mine was with Mile Marker hubs in my Excursion. If you have an Auto advance around you. They should have the Mile Markers in stock. User the online 20% off coupon and the total will be about $165.00 for the pair.
If there is any rain, dirt, sand, dust in your travels, you will want to seal up where the hub was. Personally I would bite the bullet and throw some on before I go. I wouldn't want to trap dirt and stuff in there when you do get new hubs.

Good thought on sealing it up. It's only a couple hour drive, mostly highway, but the last half hour or so is dirt and gravel roads.
Any suggestions other than packing some grease in there?
I have the replacements lined up, but won't have them in time for the trip. Nobody locally has them in stock unless I go to the dealer and I'm not paying their prices.
CraigsList may be a good place to look for some parts rigs, one from a SuperDuty will work on the same year IIRC.
Perhaps check with a Discount Tire or similar and see if they have a center cap that may fit and be long enough to extend past the stub shaft as well. Not a perfect seal but better than nothing.
I wouldn't drive it anywhere without sealing it up. Won't take much dust getting in there to grind everything in there to heck. maybe a plastic baggie with a half a roll of ductape holding it on? Something.
Create a massive grease dam if you use the baggie option. The grease will seal it up and also attract dust...so make sure you have plenty to keep the critical parts with clean grease when you go to clean it up.
At 70 mph centrifugal force will paint your wheels and the side of your truck with grease. I don't see a baggie being able to restrain it. Lol. I have a spare set of auto hubs somewhere. I'm located in wv though.
