[QUOTE=Sailor_Roy;16591521]Jolly Green and our Montana 5th wheel in Winnett Montana....doing some work on the wifey's rental.........
Wow, Winnett MT. My wife has an old friend who lives there. Is that old mercantile still there and locked up? Do you know if they ever opened it up to see what was in the building?

That is why I was curious if it had been opened. Would love to see what was left in there.
The 6.2 has good power and can tow all day at 65 (7-8 mpg), but any headwind really hits it hard. I will run it in 4th gear manual with the cruise on most of the time, but coming back from the black hills on i90 across South Dakota with a 15 mph direct crosswind it was in 3 gear most of the time (5-6 mpg). One fuel stop I calculated 4.8 mpg. Towing nothing and light on the foot I can get 13. These are calculated as the dash computer will indicate .6 better than actual on average. I think it would be a great tv if it had 4:10's but the 3:73's make it work too hard IMO. It has tons of power in the hi rpm's, but i don't find it a very comfortable ride on long trips here in the Midwest. For a weekend getaway tv it would be fine. I am currently in the process of trading the 6.2 for a Powerstroke.
It's been about 12 years since I have been there. The story at that time was the business had suddenly closed and the doors were locked with everything inside as is. That was to have taken place some 50 years ago.

Lynn says the place is still locked up.....
Thanks, it sure would be fun to be there if and when they do open that place up.
