Then your PATS module was damaged I would think. Did they replace it?
That part I need to find out. According to the body shop my PATS was not working. They started my truck from the damage the thieves had done. After repairs Ford was unable to sync the new keys with the PATS and would not start. Told them about the cluster and today the body shop got it back so evidently they were able to program the new keys. Supposed to get an update tomorrow and I will check with them. It is back at the dealer cause the turn signal switch will not reset after you turn.
Finally got her back! Couple of bugs, but working them out. Won't go into first via the gear selector so Ford has to fix that, and missing the fasteners on the bottom of the kick panel- getting fixed tomorrow! In the mean time 05 grill upgrade finally complete!

This is likely because they seated the lower pin on the shift tube too deep. The one that is closest to the firewall. Pull the tube, tap the pin back out about 2mm, and it should go into 1st for you.

Tried to rep ya, but evidently I have to pass it around! I'm going to let Ford deal with it. Got the alarm and remote start installed today, and the tech told me the PATS is still not working. He wrapped the key in foil and he is able to start it right up. Wondering if it is my chip...I know I have a new PATS installed according to the invoice as well as a bunch of other parts. The Viper disables the engine without a key so for now I will just rely on that.
I used the Duplicolor bed liner in my Ranger years back. It did not adhere well and it didn't hold up in sunlight. It faded to gray and began peeling. And it offered almost no actual bed protection. I have since tried Monstaliner and although a bit more expensive it is a solid product.

Yep, we shall see how long it lasts. If it doesn't then I will just get it line-x'ed and be done with it..
You don't need to remove them. Just tape around them for overspray. It doesn't have to be perfect, but the crappy plastic dip i had was extremely hard to peel off around the badge. I put 5 coats on mine.
