So far so good. Had a chance to jump up on the highway the other day, hit 95 effortlessly and was still pulling. One other cool thing is when I shut it down, you can still hear the turbo going...probably just me but sounds awesome. Any way off the next couple of days so I will see if I can get some videos up. Making a run to the range tomorrow so I will definitely get some testing in.

You should let it idle for a minute before shutting down to let the turbo spool down before the oil pressure disappears...

I had it idling when I installed it to check for leaks, and when I shut it down is when I heard it. At first I thought maybe I missed something, but after double checking my work for the 10th time I could not find any loose boots, or clamps and figured it was just the nature of the turbo.
Got the HPOP lines replaced. What a PITA. One STIC fitting did not want to break loose. All others came out with very little effort. I used those off ebay that are "bigger". Talk about stiff as heck. Definitely took some elbow grease. So I replace them in as preventative maintenance and still had some old oil leaking down the drain hole. Any way while I was down there making sure it was old oil and not the nice new Rotella I just put in, I noticed my Fumoto valve seems to me leaking ...WTH! Any way got tired and called it a day. Tomorrow door seal replacement!
Not sure when anything "broke" on me, but on the trip down to TX, the fan clutch went out. Replace fan clutch and the tensioner as it seemed a little weak to me, all is good. Sunday, coolant leak, appears to be the radiator. Need some more trouble shooting, but I will get a pressure tester and find it. Plan is coolant, plastic tank, all lower radiator hoses and if needed all aluminum radiator, might rebuild the oil cooler as well depends on how much time I have.
So for the last couple of days I started hearing a low grinding noise when stepping on the brakes. It was intermittent, so I checked it out yesterday. I thought it was coming from the front, so I pulled both tires and checked the rotors and brakes, all looked good. Then yesterday afternoon I backed it up in the neighborhood, longer and faster than normal, hit the brakes to put it in drive and "clank"! Today I pulled the rear brakes and there was my problem...
And when it rains it pours!! Radiator leak in the radiator..so ordered up some new hoses from riffraff, I will pick up a radiator locally probably, coolant will be local as well. Damn, my injector fund just took another hit!!
The KC took a dump the other day. Fins are a little chewed up and does not spin freely. Went back with the stocker for now, good thing I didn't sell it. On a side note, I noticed quite a bit of oil in the intercooler boots, I have the by-pass on the dog house, and the intercooler is fairly new, any ideas? Probably bad but let me know anyway.
Even after the rebuild on my turbo (6.0 though), I had a small amount of oil get into the CAC pipes (and intercooler). Likely your issue is bad seals in the turbo. Fairly easy to rebuild and the kits aren’t super expensive. Keep everything nice and clean and double check your work. There’s all sorts of rebuild manuals out there too, so you’d probably be able to find one online. Hardest part is any bolts on the hot side because they get stuck and rusty. It’s easy to break one off. Put them all back with anti seize.
