They still use the mirror.

The camera (in the nav screen or mirror) is indispensable for hooking up a trailer. For backing a trailer, well I still go to the mirrors. I'm just saying not where you see it but what you see. Does that make sense?

I use the camera mostly for hooking up trailers and the occasional backing into a parking stall or parallel parking to make sure I don't put my ball through somebody's front grill

Not really.

I use my outside mirrors all the time. I got used to using them with my full size van. I've had people wear out their horn thinking I was going to hit them when I've had at least a couple inches to spare.

I back in just about everywhere I can. It is just so much easier with a bigger vehicle to get in AND out. Although I am still getting used to the truck since it is sooo long and doesn't turn as tightly as an IFS front end.

Now backing the trailer still leaves a lot to be desired, sometimes I can get it within a fraction of an inch and other times I'm lucky to be in the right zip code.
