Backup Camera Display - Able to Modify?

I have the 2011 F250 w/Nav, so I get the backup camera display in the LCD. The only thing that I don't like is that I can see it only when in reverse. I understand this is a safety setting, but is there a way to modify this program? When I back up to hitch onto my trailer, I sometimes have to move a little forward to get straightened out. It would be nice if I could see the result when pulling forward instead of having to put it back into reverse and correct any overadjustment. The same goes for some of the other navigation settings that it won't let you adjust while the vehicle is in motion. Not that I take my attention off the road to do them, but my wife was trying to make some changes to an address the other day while I drove and we couldn't do anything unless the vehicle was at a stop.

Place your tranny in R and the lcd screen goes to camera view. There then is a settings icon up in the corner of the lcd screen. Touch the icon and it displays options for your pleasure. Turn on the camera delay option and the camera will stay on while in D up to like 5 mph. It will go away as soon as you put the tranny in P. You can buy Ford Lockpics to address your other concerns I think. Good luck.

Thank you Sir!! Couldn't wait until I got home from work - had to go out to the parking garage to check it out. And it worked! I am loving this truck more and more each day.

You are welcome my friend. Looking at your avatar, it appears you bought the diesel version. If you're interested, there is a lot of conversation on the 6.7 diesel forum relating to these new trucks. At the top of the page there is a drop down menu labeled models, place your cursor there and a sub menu will appear showing the different forums for various configurations of trucks. Click on the one that interests you and enjoy. I frequent this one because it covers a lot of issues, not just related to the diesels.

I'll have to do that. I've been to this site before, but never really dug into it and realized how much info and knowledgable people there are. Looking at some of the TSB's now and trying to decide if I should do them or if I am just paranoid.
