Not going to get totally into this, but to directly answer F250, i picked up a cheap diesel pickup specifically to have the extra money to drop into the engine. You can spend twice or three times the amount on a 7.3 psd and still drop the same coin to get to the same power. You can spend 10-20k on a 6.0 that needs 6k just to be reliable with a tuner, or you can spend 20,30,40+ for a 6.4 / 6.7 then spend 1500 on a tuner, or efi live and have to deal with all the emisions laws, fines etc and have a giant shiny turd you cant even change the oil on.

So, even with my paltry 3k truck, i can still put 6k into the engine and come out cheaper or even with a decent shape stock high mileage 7.3psd

Mike, that is a good way to put it. These trucks are cheaper to buy than even an OBS Powerstroke and definitely cheaper than newer trucks. Plus the simplicity for most people that own an IDI is a plus. While we will never get the money we spend out of these if we try to sell them. But if we build them and keep them, we come out ahead in the long run. Granted its not exactly a 12v Cummins but just like a 12v, the simplicity and price are reasons to own and modify these trucks.

That's unacceptable to me, and there is no reason that a platform with 7.3 or 6.9 Liters of displacement should have to do that in any light duty truck...
this part is immature (and your well aware of it) and is therefore unworthy of my time.
see these are the type of remarks that will just hurt your business as they make you look like a smart alec.no one wants to deal with someone like that.you've lost my potential business due to this long ago.if you think im alone, your very mistaken.
Ridiculous man... You know you were never going to buy anything from me anyway... You still push the Torque cam, and it is half the cam of mine...

Im not trying to be a dick to you, but you have a vendetta, and its obviously rooted in gone-by prejudices. Im no hater, I practice what I preach, and as far as the IDI is concerned, I just keep pushing.

Im sorry you don't get it man, I just don't know what else to tell you.

Live and let live.
im just going to put you on my ignore list.feel free to do the same with me.im not here for children's smack, trash, negative, hate crap.i just have no interest in it.it's not that your words hurt me,they're just a waste of my time is all.place me on your ignore list and you wont need to worry about me offending you anymore.
just because i don't care about your smoke show dyno runs doesn't mean i have any personal vendetta against you.im not going to be one of your fan boys blowing sunshine up your ***.that's probably what disturbs you.
your on the road to self destruction talking smack about your competitors.be it they're right, wrong or indifferent makes no matter.it's not professional and in the end will only hurt you.no doubt this will fall on deaf ears anyway.your clearly misinterpreting words i type.so it's best you just place me on your ignore list.
and don't flatter yourself.your not in my thoughts at all when im helping in the forums.so whatever your talking about of "gone-by prejudices" and "vendetta's"........it's all in your head man.seek some help.attend some anger management classes or something.

And Im the childish one....

Said Id do it, I tried to be the bigger man.... Its obvious I was.

Maybe its time for this thread to be closed, unless F250 wants to chime in and add to it... Be my guest, I don't have to ignore or block anyone... Contrary to the crux of what you just posted.

And let me point out who was badgering who this whole thread... I hope everybody see's it exactly for what it is...

I really like how justin tests and proves EVERYTHING he bulds in public eye, including prototypes, success or failure, all specs and info are public knowledge, and its a "smoke show". Yet the crowd that has no idea what theyre getting, and no proof of what it can do bashes him for being a magician.

Capitalism baby, the fact that you have to wait 2 weeks to get a reply from justin and there is STILL that many people wanting his products, speaks for itself. Supply and demand.

Something I think gets lost in the talk of business practices is fun. It's fun (challenging/enjoyable) to build things like pumps, injectors and motors that have specific tolerances. Putting glowplugs, filters and the like in a box everyday is not fun, ask your local McDonald's employee.

This is exactly on point...

As offensive as it may sound to some people who don't completely grasp what exactly the term "Profit" may be, I do this, more than anything, and to reference the above, I am stubborn, because "I" enjoy it... Profit is the cost of efficiency, or in otherwords, whats left after you have put the work in. I enjoy using whats left to push the threshold, not flying to cancun, or buying a new car, or living high on the hog in any form... I actually like putting the excess into making IDI stuff better, it excites me more than a lot of things... Yeah, it may not make sense, it may be a big waste of time in the end (Who cares), but what matters is it IS, and should be, It makes me proud to contribute what I have, and what I will, because the results are REAL. THAT is why I do it the way I do... Don't like it, don't buy my stuff, don't worry, I wont shed a tear....I already recognize the support I have, and by everybody who I consider a friend, its beyond what I ever cared to have, but also significant enough to keep it all alive...

.....

That's sappy enough for OBN.... Isnt it??

Hey, I'm happy with my injectors and a 90cc pump is in the near future once I can get some funds together. I need to start getting things in order for the new truck build.
