So I'll be doing my head gaskets soon, I have a 4" exhaust, airaid filter. soon to have an sct programmer. Im looking into putting in some arp studs and Apart from the blue spring and the egr delete, are there any other upgrades I should do to balance out the engines equilibrium With the added power from the programer and the effect of the other parts.
Just a suggestion but I went with 6.4L Banjo bolts on mine when I did studs and gaskets...... and get rid of the Airraid^^^ I also LOVE my scangauge II but I hear that there are other options out there that you can use with your smartphone, tablet, etc. Consider cleaning your HFCM while the cab is off, its somewhat easier to remove that way, but not much; they get a waxy looking substance inside of the section where your water drain plug is located. I would also look at the updated water drain plug for it. check out AutoNation Ford White Bear Lake | Parts & Accessories I couldn't find anyone in GA who could beat their prices on OEM parts (Head Gaskets, dummy plugs, rocker box gasket, push rods, stand pipes, filters, intake gaskets, turbo oil tube updates, etc.). Since your going to have the heads off, replace the roller lifters before they get trashed. I've rebuilt several 6.0's because of the roller lifter bearing failure. Safe is always better than sorry.
