not really. if it will not start warm, but fires rite up after pouring room temp water over the pump i see no other way but to send it back.

or keep a couple gallons of water in the bed until you can lay the truck up for a while.

Check the junkyards for a spare pump. Chances are you can find a working one for $100 or so, and while it might not be the best, it will get you down the road while your other one is being worked on.

not that i have seen. if it starts, it should start and run whatever the timing is set at. it may not run good, but it should still start and run warm if it will start cold.

Okay. I figured. The truck started right up after sitting 24hrs..no hesitation whatsoever
