Sorry to hear that Tom. Will the dealer sell you the van through a NH dealer? When I buy a rifle from a out of state dealer. I have it shipped to my CT dealer who charges me a small handling fee. I don't see why that can't be arranged. But then again this is CT and that money grubbing Governor is out to get every dime even from the military family's that give so much to preserve our way of life. Hope thing work out. If not go for a ride and the computer and see what is available in NH on line. You never know You may find a better deal.
I took Kathy to Providence, RI yesterday for a arbitration. There are some crazy drivers there. One good note was the police were well mannered and helpful when asked for information.
Bought my corn beef and cabbage yesterday. Ready for ST. Pats day. And I always have Guinness on hand. Ready
Thanks John, looks like I'll be doing just that. Called the state Department of Revenue and it turns out the dealer is right. Connecticut has a law on the books to extract sales tax from folks in my situation. This is the only state I've ever lived in that would charge me tax even though it's not being registered here. So I backed out and asked for my deposit back.
The good news is that my credit union is giving me 2.3% APR, so when I find the deal there will be minimal hassle. Just not in CT.

2017 Ford truck looks like a old Chevy pickup and not my cup of tea. Actually hurts my eyes. ( a little melodramatic)
Well I had to try it. It being V8 Sea Salt and Clam drink. Verdict is good all you have to do is add a shot of hot sauce, some pepper, and Vodka (optional).
Saw it on FTE sight for weird food and had to try it. Love Clams and Love Sea Salt. and Love V8 hot and spicy,
Tom you got the answer. To bad CT gov. is so greedy. But since the financing is all set, once you do find one it will be a breeze. There are a lot of vehicles on the market. Good luck hunting.
Any time you change something you will find people who don't like it. I've always loved new and different, so just about anything other than what they are now will appeal to me. Make the truck better at what it does and people will buy them in droves.

If you went to a Walmart in CT to buy some motor oil and toilet paper, they would charge you sales tax on it. You can't simply say, "I'm from NH so I don't have to pay sales tax." I don't see how buying a vehicle in CT is any different.
I've bought in CT when I lived in MA before and there was no charge for sales tax, plus since I was financing, the dealership wrote me a check for the MA tax. Of course this was probably 15 years ago now.
