Remote Start Problems

We have a 2012 Ford Flex with remote start. Remote start doesn't seem to work when car is on an incline. Backed car into driveway and started but won't when pulled in. Is this common please help. Remote start is separate key fob.Remote start is factory.
Thanks

This is a WAG but it sounds like the sensor that determines if the hood is closed may think the hood is open when you pull in. Some have a switch but others have a device that senses the angle of the hood when opened. If you can find that hood sensor you may be able to adjust it so it still starts when pulled into the driveway.

Like I said, just a guess. Hope it helps.

I'd have your dealership take a look, bigd1024. How many miles are on the Flex?

Thanks Leon I think that you might be right. I'll have them check it out.

how much fuel is in it? if the fuel level is showing 1/4 or less it won't work. if your on an incline that can skew the reading and cause you issues.

Thanks for responding, bigd1024. I'd recommend making an appointment at your local Ford Dealership so they can check this out. To find a dealership near you, enter your ZIP code here: Locate a Dealer Search | Official Site of Ford Vehicles | Ford.com Once you have this diagnosed, I'll be able to research options to assist.
