HELP! How to adjust headlights correctly!
Ok, searched but found conflicting info.
How do I adjust my hedlights?
I just installed a new set of DEPO headlights and Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. Can't wait to see what these are going to look like! I hear there is a night and day difference (pun intended )!
I left the trim rings off so as to access top (outer and inner) adjusting screws).
Its getting dark and I would love to get this done tonight!
Thanks!

The adjuster that sticks up is the verticle adjustment. I think its 5/32. The inboard adjuster is the horizontal adjustment. The other mounting point is stationary.
Personally, I would have passed on the Silverstar bulbs. They are tinted to get artificial colors. They are whiter, but not really brighter. Its an optical illusion. The Sylvania Xtravision is much better. The best I've seen are GE Nighthawk.

Here's the right way: Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply
Me, I just park on an empty road and aim them where I like. Then walk down the road a ways and look back at the truck to make sure my adjustments don't blind any oncoming drivers.

the adjustment pieces that stick up (and that are behind the lamps) are IIRC 4MM pieces, so you will either need a 4MM socket (this is what I would suggest using) or the special OEM tool for Ford headlamps, I forget the brand, but I have one (need to find the darn thing) and used it to make quick work of the lamps when I installed mine.
as for the cracking I have Depo branded (at least I think they are) lamps and I haven't had any issues from them, cracking or other wise...perhaps the place you ordered your set from got a poor batch that failed (slipped) through QA??

Pass side headlight not square and flush like driver's side
I ditched the idea of clear lenses and went with the OE in the TYC brand.
Pic 1 and 2 are pass side
Pic 3 and 4 are driver's side
After adjusting my headlights to the best of my ability, I found that my passenger side headlight does not sit square and flush like the driver's side (see pics).
Are your lights like this?
Am I being too picky and this is the way they sit and they will not always sit square and flush (every truck is different)?
Should I try and adjust again and see what I get?
NOTE: The gap at bottom/right of pass side light is about 1/4" higher than bottom/left side.....and sits inward at top/right about 1/4" more than driver's side. It also sits about 1/4" MORE outward on bottom/left than the bottom/right of driver's side.
