Just an update, I had my truck taken in to a shop to have the insert put in and it was a success! So, a bent electrode doesn't always mean further damage. Thanks for your help everyone!
I've kinda been following this thread as I have a real hatred for anything that says Accel from past experience in my hot rod/racing life. Back in the late '80s and early '90s, those were the performance electrical pieces to use - then they lost their way with mostly off shore suppliers with little quality. They were recently bought out by MSD and will hopefully become a quality manufacturer again although MSD have been having a few problems since they were sold 2x in the past few years and went through Chapter 11 bankruptcy/reorganization.
