Improving the C6 with E4OD internals or else?
I came across an older archived thread that mentioned this upgrade, I also discovered this older article from Fourwheeler magazine Ford Tranmission, C6 Transmission, and a Transmission Rebuild - 4 Wheel and Offroad Magazine
I do not see this mod currently listed on JETS website, does anyone have more information on this modification?
My driving habits are camping in the mountains, cruising the beach, very rarely, maybe twice a year, towing.
I am leaning towards a 4.9/I6 NP435 swap later. I will in the meantime accumulate needed parts, rebuild. About two years out.
I am doing a compression test tomorrow on the 302, if healthy, I'd like to go with GT40 heads, mild street cam, headers, custom y-pipe. I know the C6 has a good amount of parasitic drain, I am looking for ways to minimize or enhance the perceptive performance of the C6.
Any suggestions?
