E4od to c6 swap

E4od to c6 swap
My friend has a 90 351w 4x4 F150. At the moment he is on his 3rd tranny 5th time puting it in ( two rebuilds ) he wants to put it a c6 ..what all needs to be done to convert to the c6????

Find a C6 with the 351 pattern.
Swap etc, find linkage blah blah blah.
Convince your engine controller that the transmission is still there.
If he buys/rebuilds the C6 from the same source as the E4OD, he'll be doing it again...

i am looking to do the same thing with my 85, already have a C6 but i was told that the tail shaft is different so you have to get a different driveshaft and that the spline may not be the same on the output shaft...is this true?
