^^^ Thanks. I really appreciate it. This is my first everything on this truck so it's all just a learning experience as I go.
Got the plywood out of the bed the idiots before me put in it and cause all this rotting. Looks so bad but to me it just makes gutting it easier since the truck is being bagged anyway. The tailgate is destroyed where there was so much straw and grass piled up against it from the inside, but lucky for me I just lucked into another Craigslist deal today and got an awesome tailgate for $100. I'm going to gut the parts from the old one since they still work and out into this one.
Got a little more progress done. Got the long tubes off and the shorty headers back on. Now I'm starting on the front bags before I do the rear. Got everything ubolted on the passenger side but I can't get the bottom strut bolt out that holds it in the lower control arm. I've tried everything and I can't get it to budge.
Finally got the pesky bolt out. Just lubed it up and beat the tar out of it, but now I went to put in my bag bracket and it wouldn't seat down low enough to line up the bolt hole so I'm going to have to grind the lip down on both sides until it seats correctly. I contacted the guy who made them and he said that all the ones he had made were for the civilian crown victoria and mine is the interceptor so there is just a little difference in them.
Yea it's definitely the little things. I've got the passenger side bag and plates installed but having issues with the sway bar. I'm using the 2600 bag and I think it's just to big for the way mine is setup so I'm probably going to switch it to the 2500.
Got the front bags installed and the sway bar fixed. Just had to move it forward in the frame where it was mounted by my buddy. lowered the truck down as far as I could on a jack.
The bag is just a d2500 but the brackets were bought on eBay from backyardcustoms. I've not seen him have them for sell on there again but his name is jake winterton and he is on Facebook so you could shoot him a message and see if he could make you some.
got the rear lowered down and the front almost all the way down. I'm going to have to take out the front inner fender wells so it can go all the way down. here are some more pictures to where i got it now.
Bags and brackets are just setting there. I've not mounted and welded them in yet.
This on is my favorite. Looks so cool setting low! I can't fit my fist under the back edge of the cab. id say its setting about 3 or 3.5 inches off the floor.
Not much progress lately. Been to busy at work and not felt like working on it. Today though I got the passenger front fender well out and the good fender put back on. It still needs tweaked a little but looks good. Still need to do the drivers side. Maybe it'll get done this week.
