I was wondering if the truck headers fit the vans or not.
I think I either have a few studs broke off or a cracked manifold. Either way it's not going to be a fun time, and figured I may be able to upgrade a little if I had a cracked manifold. It will be apart and then will be the time to do it.
I don't think F-Series will/can fit the E-Series due different frames, front cross members etc etc.
Might be a good time to start asking various header manufacturers what they've got for us---don't be too shocked or disappointed at the lack of good parts for our vans.
I've been doing this a while, it takes a lot for me to be disappointed/frustrated. If this was a vehicle I would keep forever, I'd build my own headers to put in it. But for what I do with it, I just wanted something easy. Kinda like if the only option was a $700+ set of headers, it's not worth the money. I own a welding/fab/machine shop with a plasma burnout machine. Flanges are easy, and I have the stainless tubing on the shelf. I've made headers for random vehicles a number of times.
