Hey everybody, new here, for starters I drive a 2002 ford excursion lifted 10 inches on 37s, with a 7.3 in it, I had the transmission rebuilt in july, but recently started having temperamental issues.
For starters I put my edge evolution Cs on the truck for the first time since the rebuild about a month ago, and last week, the transmission started shifting extremely hard, and a few times my O/D light started blinking, I removed the chip and it was still shifting hard, and extremely slow into reverse, yesterday the CEL came on reading codes P0500 and P0732.
I also noticed today that when I turned my headlights(HID) on initially after startup, my speedometer dropped to 0 for 30 seconds, and the O/D light began flashing for 30 seconds, I'm truly stumped on what's going on and any input will be appreciated, I'm trying to sell the truck but I can't do that until I fix it, thank you
P0500 means the PCM didn't see an input from the vehicle speed sensor. P0732 means that when the trans was in second gear the gear ratio was incorrect. That could be a result of the P0500 code. I'd ignore the P0732 code unless it comes back.
The P0500 is caused by either a bad vehicle speed sensor on the rear axle, or damaged wiring between the sensor and the PCM.
