I also have the oem Ford swing away mirrors, and I have to agree with the others when I say that they do not move at all. It takes a good amount of force to even fold them in when I need to.
And I personally like them the best, great visibility and durability.
I can tell you right now my OEM ford mirrors do not move, even at 95mph
Same here. My OEM mirrors lasted over 20 years and were always firm. I did a restoration last year and decided to swap out the mirrors. I paid about $60 for aftermarket ones. They didn't last 5 months before showing rust. Nevermind the lack of convex on the passenger side. I recently found OEM replacements for about $250. Totally worth it. Good luck finding them.
Nemo Mirrors. Like the movie, Finding Nemo(the fish with the bum fin)
The bolt pattern from the Nemos to the Swing away is Different.
The bolt battery from the Nemos to the Gooseneck mirrors is the same.
Nemos Come in power and Non power but in order to operate the power ones you need the Factory harness and connectors.
The Swing-a-ways and Gooseneck are Not available in power.
Also.. behind there Nemo mirror there is an outrigger that goes to the Inside door skin. The is a large sure hole in the door for the outrage to pass thru.
Brad, will towing mirrors (gooseneck) cover the other holes from sport mirrors (you say they are the same bolt pattern)?
If you really want the paddle (nemo) mirrors you can do it. Read the captions of the link and the next few pictures in that album. It should be noted you will still have the lower mount holes in the door.

Yes. If you look closely at the yellow door, you can see the faint outline of where the gasket sat. The yellow door had gooseneck mirrors on it
Also, red/silver truck in the 1st pic its the same ****e/silver truck in the 2nd/3rd pic. I unbolted the memo mirrors and bolted on the gooseneck. When I wen tot he Swing-a-ways I had to redrill holes in the door. Unfortunately, I did not drill them far enough back and my wing window hit the mirror. Something else to fix and repaint doors

I agree. The OEM mirrors are really tough. I have OEM mirrors on our BII, my 88(off a different truck so I could have black ones), the 91, the 90, the 89 F250, and soon the 92. I haven't had any problems with the OEM ones Heck the BII has hit more trees and stuff then any vehicle I have and only one has had to be replaced. The aftermarket ones however fall apart very easily.
