Happy New Year everybody.......the snow is almost melted in Flagstaff now. I ended up with over 14" of the fluffy stuff. Had a blast going sledding, and 4 wheeling. Ready for the next one already
Had an oil change and new batteries put in the truck yesterday. Whoohoo.
The guy who did the work for me wasn't sure about a noise coming from beneath the air filter (he's a new Harley mechanic and sort of shade tree car mechanic, but not a trained diesel guy). It's a regular thump, thump, thump. He wasn't sure if it's typical or not & I've never noticed it as something that could be wrong. Might capture a sound file of it & post over to the IDI forum to see if anyone can diagnose it.
Edited to add: Based on listening to some videos on YouTube, I'm guessing the noise is a sticky lifter. Be gentle...how much of a pain & cost is this going to cause me? Also, how long can I ignore it if all I do is drive around for an hour twice a month (not hauling trailer)?
That is the best deal I have ever seen on a motorcycle around here (minus the deal we got on my 73 Harley).
We have the same model just a 07 and not an anniversary edition that we are leasing. Ours has a lot more miles and is blue and black. It also has true duals with no baffles.
If I had the money the Harley list would be a lot longer then the ford list (1 car, 2suvs, 8trucks) and not equal with the Chevy list.

Room isn't a problem got 3 acres where I am sitting now plus another acre somewhere else, another acre in yet another spot, and 4.5 acres with another place (working on making it livable). We also have another 2.5 acres of commercial property where we plan to build my shop (motorcycle repair and vehicle repair) and the restaurant/country store my dad and brother wants.
So ya room isn't a problem. LOL
Trav
Sounds good no problems with room just need to keep them all under cover out there
with the environment you guys have in Arizona Very hot to very cold. Have you guys had snow were you are. I called a guy the other day over near you ( Taylor ) about a Econoline but he couldn't send me any photos some thing wrong with his computer
Cheers Darin
Ya covering them is a bit hard that is the one of the reasons we haven't gotten another bike. Right now the 07 is in an enclosed trailer and the 73 is locked up under a heavy duty cover. However the next bike we get won't ever need to be covered.
That is why. Dirt Bobber. Pretty much a dirty rusty bike that has all terrain tires to ride through our conditions yet still be street legal and have Harley power!
Yes we have gotten snow. About a foot last week and week before that a couple inches. Suppose to get more soon I believe. Taylor is a town right next to me (well 20 miles from me as I live on the country side of town).

Edit: never mind pic doesn't work. If you google bobberpros you will see under images what I am talking about.
Yes I checked them dirt bobbers out and it looks like the more weathered they are the better it is . We would not be able to ride them on the road over hear with those pipes on as they would have every cop with in 10 miles after you . To loud for over here ( I say the louder the better ) But we have a noise level over here that we are not aloud to go over
Darin
Those pipes are longer then the pipes I use to have on my Ironhead.
however the pipes I have on the 07 is illegal in a lot of places. Our 07 is just under what it is allowed over here. The Ironhead was way over if you were standing right next to it you better have ear plugs (pipes were 20" from end to end). The Ironhead was built as a show bike but I am fixing it up for me to be able to ride.

That is definitely a beautiful bike Trav. I have found myself wanting a bike again lately. Years ago I had a cheap little Kawasaki cruiser bike, and sold it after almost getting rear-ended on the highway! But I am guilty of watching Sons of Anarchy, and getting the bike bug again! I have too many toys already, so probably can't really justify spending the cash for a nice Harley, if I do it.....I'll probably get a decent Honda Shadow.
The shadow is a nice bike. Main reason I personally go for Harley is I grew up working on them and around them. When we lived in California every bike show we heard of we were their. Bikes just are bigger in my family then trucks however we do love our trucks too (obviously). LOL
