I want both. Both are moms and dad's birthday years. LOL
The 53 is for dad going to be a modernized big block truck fuel injected.
The 69 is for mom going to be a modernized 351 EFI jacked up just haven't decided weather 2wd or 4x4.
I probably will stick the 69 on a 92 F250 4x4 351 EFI frame I have and jack it up.
The 53 will be a modified 95 F250 frame with a big block installed in it. Just another project for us. LOL
They will be show worthy drivers.
Then I plan to find a 2wd F150 87-96 to make myself a hot rod.

Ya I am also leaning toward a 96 F150 2wd that way it is what I want and my birthday. LOL I just would rather turn it into a hot rod then my baby in my sig.
We aren't in a hurry about it though because we got other projects in the fire right now too. Dad also is looking at the 53 Ford station wagons and COEs. He wants something that isn't extremely popular but can be fun to build and something he can drive without having to deal with a clutch.
Trav
Ya if I did a COE I am thinking I will put it on our 89 F350 crew cab long beds chassis. I would then swap in an auto C6. Then custom lower it some and make a custom bed for it.
Problem is dad can't completely decide. LOL Plus he can't decide what route exactly he wants to go with weather it be rat rod, clean modernized truck, or clean modernized van/car. The station wagon he wants to turn into a custom panel van.

Yep still am. Got about 2 more years (to many reasons why and don't feel like making excuses) and I will be out of school. Can't wait to get through it too. Then I will take a little break and go for what I really want Motorcycle and mechanic training. Luckily I have been doing good at juggling work and school mostly because I only work 3 days a week.
Also forgot to let y'all know that we did get the generator running and producing power the other day so now we got our generator back! Feels good to get that project out of our hair.
