Here's a good one for you. I ordered some mirrors off of Amazon for my 67. They are the 92-96 F-150 style. I ordered 2, drivers side and pass. side. They came in Tuesday....
Except there were 5, not 2. Yesterday, I got 4 more. And Amazon was showing that I had more coming! Spent an hour on the phone with Amazon to straighten this out. They are sendimg me shipping tags to return the 7 that I don't want. I won't be suprised if there are more on the porch today!!
If they keep sending them, I'm going start my own mirror company! Of course, we'll only carry one kind....
Sent 6 boxes back yesterday, but not sure if there will be a problem with that. Amazon only sent me one shipping label, the gal there said "Just print it off 6 times". The UPS store said I may end up getting 5 boxes back.
HAHA That sounds like all kinds of people really don't care about the mirrors. Print the same label 6 times? That does seem like a trick that might work threw a shipping company. If they are all going to the same place and are all the same box how would anyone actually know it wasn't right?
I did I did! Its to bad it is a V10 but it is the color I always wanted.
Have to pick up the motor and trans yet then I can start putting it back together just to find out what some noise was people were hearing that prompted the tear down in which no one found anything wrong... lol
I am going to keep it at least one winter to see how I like it. Unless I am not satisfied right off the bat with it then I may dump it right away and keep looking. It was just the right price and the color I always wanted. I hope it is a good one.
Odd thing though, it is a limited and no dvd player? weird.
Yeah it was a very good price really. The guy that tore the motor down says he thinks it might have been the torque converter making the noise now after they couldn't find anything wrong.
I am thinking it might be that cracked flex plate deal I have seen mentioned here a few different times. I will know once I pick up the rest of the parts this week. I really hope I do find a crack in the flex plate so at least I will have some piece of mind that hopefully it isn't something worse.
The motor is apart yet so I will be assembling it so at least I can check everything out and know the motor is good. Just sucks that I may be putting everything together to possibly just be taking it apart again to fix something. But this is how a guy gets good deals on vehicles, taking a risk.
Well, hopefully your'e right about the flex plate, that would make things a hell of a lot easier. You'll have to throw a pic or two up when you get the motor.
