I was thinking........dangerous.......Working on the 5th wheel axles with the ez-lube hubs. Use a grease gun full of dawn....pump it in until all the grease is pumped out. Bearing is clean. Now pump in grease until only grease comes out. Now the bearings are lubed.........
Ummmmmm..... NOPE!
If sand can improve the performance of a gasser, why not axle bearings?
Yea, sand would be better to clean out the old grease. Real fine sand.
Sand would be real fine!

I do all my own engines, but don't do it for hire anymore. Just too busy.
The only engine builder on the west coast that I trust, is Motor Works in Spokane Remanufactured Engines, Crate Engines | Motor Works Engines
I've bought 35-40 engines from them over the years. Great company that stands by their products. They will build it anyway you want and will even dino it for you!

They are for pushing out the water when you back the boat in the slip. Period
They in no way clean the bearings, nor pack them properly.
If you pump enough grease in there, you WILL blow out the seals, and set them next to your axle. Then you end up calling me to come get you, and bring you home from your trip
