Supposed to be a 30% chance of rain here today, mainly after 1600. At around 2200 it is supposed to definitely turn the faucet on and not turn off until Friday night around 2200 when it goes back to scattered showers.
I bought a used overhead console trip computer/compass last night from a wrecked truck like mine. Works like a champ for pennies on the dollar compared to what the dealer wanted.
Your truck should have already had one in the overhead.

Afternoon Pop. It did have a trip computer/compass in the console. However, over time the chips on the circuit board quit working. I've taken it out twice and gently pushed the chips into the board with a pencil eraser with success.
This time I was going to put a dab of superglue on the chip to hold it down to the board. When I got it apart one of the chips had fallen completely out another was really loose and yet another had the top part of the chip fall off. I decided it was time to replace it... until I found out that Ford wanted almost $300. I found one on Craigslist semi-locally for $20.
I just need to calibrate the compass and it should be good to go.

Ford sure asked a LOT of those little surface-mount resistors in the heat-dissipation department! Next time I have mine apart (if it ever comes to that) I'm going to substitute half-watt axials for them.
There's an outfit on the web that repairs them, and they might just give you something for the core.

Just a thought.

Pop, if you can come up with a company name I'll try to get in touch with them. I'd give it to them if the wanted it... or maybe ask just enough to cover shipping.
