Was cruising at 70 running normal get off hwy and notice a louder than usual injector tick. By the time I got to my first light I noticed some hesitation and check engine light came on.
Codes showing P0270 and U0306
Drove home about 2 miles from Hwy hesitated all the way.
My first thoughts : 1) wire harness
2) ficm
3) injector
I'm taking her to ford on Monday cause I need it back asap I planned on leaving on vacation on the 26th.
The u0306 is from swapping the ficm with another one from a different truck. The 0270 is causing the problem. Check the wiring connection to injector 4, 2nd back on the drivers side. You are looking for a broken or disconnected wire to injector 4.
Went to dealer today, had a bad injector #4 (these are a year old). Replaced the whole bank, gotta love living the city where parts are available 7 days per week and dealers are open 7 days per week. Took same tech that did my bulletproofing 2.5 hours from start to finish. Charged me 2 hours reduced labor rate, can't even say how happy I am with Fort Lauderdale Ford. Can highly recommend to anyone local.
