bad injector??

The truck has been pretty much trouble free till today.

It runs like its on 7 cylinders.no smoke.no check engine light.
It just idles bad and in high gear9overdrive0its got a shake.

Ordering hot shots tomorrow to see if it cures it.

Is it an injector or something worse??

weak injector, totaly shot injector, dirty filter? I had about the same symptums in my 1999 and it turned out to be one bad injector and another that was getting weak. Changed those 2 and it ran like a champ.

took the truck to a buddies shop and ran it for codes it had a #5 injector low code
That inject plug on the harness has a vacum pod thingy resting ontop of the wiring.
When moving the wiring around for #5 it clears up and runs fine.
Going to pull the tape off and have a look at the wires

injector connectors shouldn't be taped together unless someone broke the connector or lost the clip. Maybe you need to just make sure the connector is plugged in good.

pulled the tape off everything looked good as far as the wires go.
On the harness plug one Female pin port loofed black.also one pin on the injector connection looked black.
I took a PICK and closed the female connection that was black on the harness plug and closed it a tad bit and sprayed some electric contact cleaner on both sides of the connection.Pluged it back in road tested down a BAD dirt road a few miles and never missed a beat.I think its fixed.
